Robert Webb is CEO of Quiet Revolution (www.quietrevolution.co.uk). Robert has led design and research projects across the fields of architecture, urban design and renewable energy. He has lectured and written widely on design for sustainability. Quiet Revolution develops and supplies elegant renewable energy solutions, especially small wind products optimised for use at the point of energy demand. Robert was also previously the CEO of XCO2, forerunner of XCO2 Energy, specialising in low carbon solutions for the built environment.

 


Dave Hampton is The Carbon Coach (www.carboncoach.com). Dave is an entertaining and motivational public speaker who helps leaders come off their personal ‘addiction’ to fossil fuels, one playful purple balloon at a time!  He lives in a highly energy efficient refurbished house in Marlow, Bucks, with his wife and 4 children, and keeps a low footprint.  A Cambridge engineer and former GB rower, Dave had an illustrious professional career greening the built environment, culminating in winning Building’s inaugural Sustainability Leadership Award in 2005, the year he established the Carbon Coach business.

David Hirst is an “activist for low carbon living” and an inventor and management consultant in sustainability and emissions trading. He is Technical Director of ResponsiveLoad (www.responsiveload.com) a company with technologies that will help enable a low-carbon electricity grid. He is also Sustainability Adviser to the cross industry group Shipping Emissions Abatement and Trading (www.seaat.org).


Andy Middleton leads on Carbon Sense’s programmes in Wales where he actively engaged in helping government and business make the transition to a low carbon society. He is founder and Chief Executive of the TYF Group (www.tyf.com), a multi-faceted learning, leadership and adventure organisation who work with private and public sector clients on a sustainability and corporate responsibility agenda to harness engagement and passion for change. Andy lives in St Davids where he’s building an eco house and retreat centre on the coast.

Stephen Sterling is recognised as one of the leading thinkers in education for sustainability and has a particular interest in the potential of systems and ecological thinking. His books include Education for Sustainability and the Schumacher Briefing Sustainable Education, Green Books, 2001. He enjoys gardening, and is still trying to master jazz guitar after some 30 years of trying.
