They have been our energy broker and helped us into energy contracts that are good value, good for the planet and aligned our renewal dates to make the admin easier. They also helped us with measuring our carbon footprint calculation and the making of our towards net zero carbon plan. Carbon Sense undertook a full Carbon Audit and Reduction Plan for the Church in September 2024 - As we have undertaken other Carbon surveys in the past I can say that the Consultants at Carbon Sense were very knowledgeable and helpful in understanding our own situation and helping us to find practical and affordable solutions. Subsequently they have remained in contact and offered a service to find and move to more renewable energy sources. Axminster Town Council engaged Carbon Sense through the EDDC Carbon Action Fund to produce a carbon report and help shape a transformative decarbonisation strategy for the Guildhall. The Carbon Sense team brought clarity, ambition, and deep technical expertise, developing a bold plan to eliminate gas use, enhance energy efficiency, and double solar battery capacity. With their guidance, we fully disconnected gas in March 2025 and now generate more energy than we consume, cutting annual bills by over £8,000 and achieving a 16-tonne carbon reduction almost overnight. This is a model project that showcases Carbon Sense’s ability to deliver real, measurable impact for communities and climate alike.
