Celebrating Sustainability at the CSA Awards 2025

The Carbon Sense team had the pleasure of attending the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Sustainability Awards, and were honoured to sponsor two categories in 2025, Low Carbon Leader and Most Sustainable Organisation, and to present the trophies to three outstanding winners.

The Winners for our sponsored categories were: Farm Carbon Toolkit (Low Carbon Leader, Voluntary Sector), A & P Falmouth Limited, Shore Power Project (Low Carbon Leader, Business Sector), and The Headland Hotel (Most Sustainable Organisation, Large).

Each organisation is making a significant contribution to Cornwall’s sustainability journey, demonstrating ambition, innovation and real impact. It was inspiring to hear their stories and to see so many people and organisations working hard to create positive change across the region.

Thank you to all the entrants, the judging panels, the event organisers and everyone who is helping move Cornwall toward a low carbon future.

Farm Carbon Toolkit:

We are absolutely delighted to accept the 'Low Carbon Leader -- Voluntary Sector' award at the 2025 Cornwall Sustainability Awards on behalf of all our partner organisations - in particular the Rural Business School at Duchy College, with whom we have worked closely for the past five years through Farm Net Zero. - Farm Carbon Toolkit

A & P Famouth:

We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the Low Carbon Business Leader Award. We were especially thrilled to have been crowned the overall winner of the Cornwall Sustainability Awards 2025. Sustainable shore power plays a vital role in global and national efforts to reduce the impact of the maritime industry on the environment, and the completion of these projects is a key part of APCL’s strategy is to achieve net zero across our operations by 2030. - Mike Spicer, Managing Director, A & P Falmouth Limited

The Headland Hotel Cornwall:

“To have the judges recognise the effort we’re putting in to make a real difference, not just for us, but for the community and the planet, is genuinely amazing. This award gives us the energy to push even harder next year!" - sustainability lead, Bethany Branigan, The Headland Hotel Cornwall
